The Chicago Greenworks Campus Development project is a 12 1/2 acre former Brownfield site. The facility achieved a LEED Platinum rating because it incorporates innovative sustained design features throughout; including a rooftop greenhouse which enhances the fresh air for the building, use of recycled building materials, solar panels and a green roof. Additionally, site work was designed to minimize storm water runoff by including the use of cisterns to collect rainwater from the rooftop, which Christy Webber Landscapes will use for watering plants throughout the City.
