The George Sollitt Construction Company was contracted to build both the Belvidere North High School and the Belvidere Elementary School on a 120 acre site located in Belvidere, Illinois. The 318,000sf High School designed by ATS&R Architects is built around a campus cluster plan with separate entries. The school is constructed of energy efficient materials including brick and masonry units, insulated high performance glass windows and a computer controlled heating and cooling system.
